Curcumin is a component of turmeric. Several trials suggest that supplementation with curcumin reduces pain and stiffness to a moderate–large degree, as compared to placebo, and that these effects are comparable to those of NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Curcumin seems to function by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thus reducing inflammation in the body. 

We custom blend curcumin with piperine (i.e., black pepper extract) to significantly increase the body's ability to absorb and utilize curcumin.
